For a long time this was my personal blog. But you know what I love writing about more than my personal life (except everything)? Business.

So this blog is now a place where I will put down the lessons and struggles of building a creative business from the ground up. Please chime in along the way.

It's day 15.

I've lost 3 pounds in the last two weeks, which seems like SO LITTLE, but I decided when I started this endeavor that 1 pound a week would be achievable. So I guess I should be happy that at least I am meeting my goal.

There have been a lot of ups and downs this last week. On Sunday when I decided to weigh myself I was ECSTATIC when I found out I had lost three pounds. But the last few days I have been absolutley zapped for energy. For some reason I feel like I have kind of plateued, but I think that's all in my head.

Here's what I have been doing...
1. Keeping track of everything I eat or drink everyday and using calorieking.com to add up all of the calorie's I'm taking in everyday. This has been an amazing thing for me, because now I'm not just "guessing" how many calories I eat.

2. I've been drinking nothing but water or tea during the day. Occasionally I will have a glass of milk if I need to add calories to my breakfast, or I will have one alcoholic drink at night if I feel like it. But it's usually just vodka & club soda.

3. I plan my workouts around Matt's work schedule, so it will be either 2 fastfit classes (a 1/2 hour circuit training class) and two hour-long yoga classes, or 3 fastfits and one yoga, etc. On the weekends when there are no classes I have been walking for half an hour to an hour. And on days when there are classes I'm usually still walking for 1/2 an hour. I think this weekend I am going to start doing one of my workout videos that I have to change it up a little.

Alright... now to celebrate this weeks non-scale victories:

-I'm getting better and better at perfecting my meals and finding out what keeps me fuller longer.

-I can feel the muscles in my arms, that's a first :)

-I now walk all the way up to the top street in Port Alice (that's three steep hills in a row)
