I have not blogged in months so I feel the need to update everyone with how the rest of my summer turned out before fall starts.
As you may or may not have been able to tell by my lack of updating, my diet/exercise mission came to a hault the last week of July after I decided to try jogging for the first time in 6 years. It felt good to run, it was a challenge. There's something so exhilarating about doing something you haven't done since you were young. Unfortunately the next day I could not walk (if you don't know about the problems with my feet leave a comment and I'll explain). It wasn't a sharp pain, but more like arthritis of my foot. I couldn't put any pressure on it, so no walking and no fastfit.
I was so devastated when this happened because I had built up a lot of momentum and was very motivated in reaching my fitness goals. I was depressed and frustrated... wanting to exercise and knowing that I physically couldn't. Trying to count calories of the things I was eating but knowing it was pointless (obviously it's never pointless, but it was discouraging). So I decided to take a break from the whole routine until my foot was healed, which unfortunately took 3 weeks, and by that time fastfit and yoga were over.
So the basic story is I am waiting until we get back to Port Alice, settled into our new house (next week) and then I am starting again on my weight loss endeavor. Fastfit and yoga will be running again full time, and now I know never to try jogging again. Which is sad, but life isn't fair.
When I first read, "I decided to try jogging..." I went oh this is not going to be good. :( Poor Monkey- I'm sorry your feet are assholes (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!). You looked amazing to me when I saw you- seriously. You blow my mind every time I see you stop getting prettier or we won't be able to hang out anymore.
